Day 1

Where to begin?  My journey here was CRAZY.....Getting stuck in Charlotte...thank goodness for good friends who took me home with her!  I arrived at LAX shortly after 10 Saturday AM....greeted by Patrick and Schauna and was then whisked away for a day full of great food and margaritas!  I got to the resort Sunday evening and was whisked to my room then served dinner and went through orientation (don't ask me what was said because my jet lag set in).  Upon registration I was given a schedule that ensures my day is full of limit pushing exercise classes.  Day 1 (today) started at 515 AM when I realized that I have no electricity.  Awesome!  I get ready in the dark then head to into to circuit.....45 minutes after learning about machines (AKA torture device) I head to breakfast of egg muffin with turkey bacon....super good....then I strap on my hydration pack, lace up my hiking shoes and head out for a 5.2 mile hike in high desert....we get back to the ranch at 11 and head to total body H20....here I am thinking water workout no problem.....I was SOOOOO wrong 45 minutes of huffing puffing and plotting my escape from the ranch...total exhaustion has set in by now and I can only think of crawling into bed for a nap I have to go to lunch and then a lecture about food budgets....I'm sure it was super interesting but I was in a total daze.  Now on to another water class followed by circuit class and finally core training.....and then a great dinner.  Somewhere along the way today I jacked up my knee and cant do much so I now sit in my bed with my leg up and a bag of ice and a bottle of Advil...I hope tomorrow I wont try to escape or beg my family to come get me but its still to early to tell....I have a busy day again tomorrow starting at 7 with breakfast with the option of a stretch class at 6....Not sure if I will be doing that....I will try to post pictures when i can figure it out and or have the energy .  I miss my family and feel so out of my element.  I am trying to find some excitement that I had when I first found out about the trip...I hope it comes with rest and a good nights sleep.  Good night all!
